Julia Küchler (*1988 in Frankfurt/Main) is a portrait, beauty and fashion photographer based in Berlin.
In her work, her main focus has always been exploring emotions and human identity, and she found fashion and portrait photography to be a suitable playing field for questions like ‘What do we perceive as beautiful?’, ‘What is gender identity?’ ‘What is human?’, and questioning the boundaries of societal norms around these topics. After a professional training in Hamburg and assisting for several years around the globe, she found herself less and less inspired by the beauty standards in the fashion industry and moved to Berlin in 2018 in search of more inspiring, authentic subjects. Since then she has been photographing people from the LGBTQIA+ and techno scene, artist portraits, and local/sustainable fashion brands. Her work has been published in magazines such as British Vogue, TUSH, Blonde, Schön!, Quality and more.
